I am a Native American born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. My husband Jim Sausser and I enjoyed most of our married years in San Diego, CA. My husband and I have seven adult children, 15 Grand Children and 3 Great Grandchildren. We have enjoyed a military life style of moving about the United States and overseas. My husband is retired Coast Guard, so we do have anchors as roots. I am a retired International Travel Agent. We came to Spring Hill in 2012 because of a beautiful home my husband found on the internet, which is the home we live in on Berkeley Manor. We love all sorts of water sports and fishing. We are learning how to fish in shallow waters because we did not realize how shallow the Gulf of Mexico shores are here in Hernando . We love Florida and we have acclimated to the humidity and gators. We enjoy socializing and entertaining friends and family. My full name is Rose Marie Goldie Sausser, I use Goldie, my middle name because it’s less letters to write! I am honored to serve as Treasurer of Berkeley Manor Home Owners Association
Jan is originally from Lockport, N.Y. and lived in Long Island and New Jersey before moving to Berkeley Manor 28 years ago.. Over the years she worked in banking, retail management, nursing and now with Weight Watchers. She`s a proud mom of four children, one deceased a year ago, and has traveled the U S and Canada. The past six years she toured all northern national parks on motorcycle tours. What a way to see the country! In 1992-93, she was association president and from 1990-96 was in charge of front entrance maintenance and served on the Board of Directors. It`s great to be active again and serve our community.
A native New Englander, Al grew up and attended school in the western Massachusetts area. He has two children and four grandchildren, all residing there. With his wife, Cynthia, he later moved to New Jersey and opened a small business which they ran for 30 years. Al and Cynthia retired and moved to Florida, where they enjoy their vegetable garden, tropical plants and flowers along with fishing and crabbing.
